Baby Tiger Shark
The only living species of the genus Galeocerdo is sea tiger, sea tiger or tiger shark is always mixed with another shark’s specie known as leopard shark (Triakis semifasciata). As the name shows tiger shark has dark vertical stripes on their body as the tiger have on their skin. As far as classification of tiger shark in concerned it belongs to the order Carcharhiniformes, the Carcharhinidae family, and the genus Galeocerdo.
Tiger sharks are typically about 20 to 30 inches in length at the time of their birth and are very lean. Unlike adults baby tiger sharks have spots on their bodies, these spots elongate as shark grows and finally taking on a stripe pattern. Baby tiger sharks have to struggle for their life by their own as the baby tiger sharks are not taken care of by their mother. Baby tiger sharks reach to sexual maturity when they are about 5 years old.
