How Big is a Tiger Shark
Everyone wants to know why this hark is names as tiger shark. Tiger sharks have dusky, perpendicular stripes at early stages of life. These stripes begin to weaken and almost vanish when shark gets mature. These sharks are after the white sharks having high record of attacking human beings. They have different feeding habits and have bright sense of smell and sight. Sharp serrated teeth and powerful jaws help them to attack their prey. They are mostly found in tropical and subtropical water. Their size varies from 25-30 feet and weighs about 1800-1900 pounds.
Tiger shark mostly lives alone except at the time of mating. During mating period these sharks meet with other tiger sharks based on their size. Some people hunt tiger fish as they believe that their fins have excellent healthful and remedial properties. At present, some marine life preservation societies are loudmouthed for stopping over fishing of tiger shark.
